It’s been a tough road for Myspace. In an arena that’s dominated by established giants and rising stars like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, the competition for people’s time spent online is fiercer than ever.
Cue Justin Timberlake.
He and his fellow investors are “bringing Myspace back” (apologies to anyone that just cringed at that pun). The focus is still on music, but the interface is completely reimagined to accommodate the present social platform trend of big visuals and simple layouts. Self-expression is also at the forefront, as well as integration with other popular/competing networks like Facebook and Twitter. Get a feel for what I mean by watching Myspace’s new teaser video below.
What are your thoughts? Promising or just more of the same blah?
I’ll put myself out there and say yes, I kind of like it.
