“Two Minutes With” is Weber Shandwick Seattle’s employee spotlight series that provides professional and personal insight into our rock star team. Enjoy!
What brought you to the Weber Shandwick Seattle office?
While I’m a native Texan, my heart belongs in the Northwest. I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to work from Portland and now Seattle.
You travel a lot for your clients at Weber Shandwick. When you aren’t traveling for work, what are your ideal vacation spots?
My ideal vacation is anywhere you can have an adventure. There’s something about tossing the guide book, and exploring cities on your own. Some of my best vacations are when I’ve gotten lost – literally and figuratively!
Rumor has it you love the Great Outdoors. What’s your favorite activity to do outside?
I have to pick just one? Let’s do this by season. Winter – snowshoeing. Spring/summer – kayaking. Year-round – hiking. Pretty much, if you put me outdoors, then I’m a happy girl. There’s nothing like escaping and not having cell service.
What’s your idea of the perfect Sunday?
Starting with a good cup of coffee from Stumptown, and then disappearing into the Northwest wilderness for a really long hike with my dog.
Aside from the great work you do for your clients at Weber Shandwick, what’s your greatest accomplishment to date?
I’m most proud of my recent bike ride in the Seattle ½ Century. Two years ago, if you had told me I would be riding 50 miles and enjoying it, I would have said you’re crazy. And now, I guess I actually have to train for a full century ride!
